If my art can’t change the whole world today, I hope it changes one person’s world forever.

Bella Orobaton is an actor, writer, director, and theatre educator based in New York City. Her family originally hails from Nigeria and Canada, and she spent the majority of her childhood moving around the world, from Eritrea, Zambia, Uganda, Switzerland, France, before finally landing in Falls Church, Virginia.

Bella attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA, where she got her BFA in Acting, Playwriting, and Directing. She worked in Seattle as an actor and teaching artist with Seattle Children’s Theatre for several years before leaving to attend the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale, where she is finishing up her MFA in Acting.

Aside from acting Bella loves writing epic, ridiculous, and outrageous plays about love, coming of age, and the unrelenting embarrassment of being alive. She is currently working on a solo show titled It’s Not You, It's All About Me. Stay tuned for more on that!
